The AI Task Setup Assistant turns plain English into a full tracking configuration. This guide shows you what to type and how to phrase requests so the AI sets up exactly what you need: selectors, notifications, frequency, screenshots, and more.
What You Can Ask For
You can describe what to track and how you want to be notified in one sentence. The AI will choose the right CSS selector, content type (price, number, text, HTML), check frequency, and notification rules based on your description and your plan limits.
- What to track: product price, stock status, subscriber count, article title, availability, countdown, etc.
- Notifications: when to alert you (e.g. when price drops below a value, when content changes, when back in stock).
- Channels: email, Discord, Slack, Telegram, SMS, webhook (if you have them configured).
- Extra features: screenshots with alerts, upload to Imgur/Google Drive, check frequency (e.g. every hour, daily).
How to Phrase Your Request
Be specific about what you want to track and where it is on the page when it helps (e.g. "the main product price in the buy box", "the lowest price from all sellers"). Short examples work, but adding a bit of context usually improves the selector and settings.
"Good examples
- Track the product price and notify me by email when it drops below £50
- Monitor the subscriber count on this channel and alert me on Discord when it reaches 10K
- Watch stock availability and send me an email when it's back in stock; attach a screenshot
- Track the lowest price from all sellers on this page, check every hour, notify when below $100
Adjusting Notifications
If you want to control when and where you get alerts, say it in the same sentence. The AI will map your words to notification rules and channels.
Examples you can type:
Notify me when the price drops below 800Email me when the value changesSend alert to Discord when minimum price is under £100Notify me when it's back in stockAlert me on Slack when the number goes above 5000
![]()
Channels and plan limits
The AI will use only channels you have configured. If you mention a channel that isn't set up or isn't allowed on your plan, it will add a warning and fall back to email (or another configured channel).
Check Frequency and Page Rendering
You can ask for how often the page is checked or mention that the page uses JavaScript. The AI will respect your plan's minimum frequency and rendering options.
Examples:
Check every hour/Check every 30 minutesDaily checks are fineThis page uses JavaScript to load the price(the AI may suggest browser rendering if your plan allows it)
Screenshots and Uploads
If you want a screenshot attached to notifications or data uploaded to a service, say so in your description.
Examples:
Attach a screenshot when you send the alertUpload screenshots to Imgur/Save to Google Drive
Screenshots and upload channels are subject to your plan. If they aren't available, the AI will say so and suggest upgrading.
Using the Full 500 Characters
The description field allows up to 500 characters. If you want to go the extra mile, you can pack in more detail: where the element lives on the page, exactly when to receive notifications, multiple conditions, and a combination of features. The AI uses all of it to tune the selector and settings.
What to add in longer prompts:
- Element location: e.g. "the price inside the main product card", "the stock status in the buy box", "the subscriber count in the channel header"
- Notification details: e.g. "notify me only when the lowest price drops below £80 and send to both email and Discord"
- Frequency and rendering: e.g. "check every 30 minutes; this page loads prices with JavaScript"
- Combinations: e.g. "track the main product price, alert when below $50, attach screenshot, and save screenshot to Imgur"
Example: detailed prompt
Track the main product price in the buy box (the big price, not the crossed-out one). Notify me by email and Discord when the lowest price drops below £75. Check every hour. This page uses JavaScript to show the price. Attach a screenshot when you send the alert.
Example: multi-condition prompt
Monitor the subscriber count displayed in the channel header. I want to be notified on Slack when it reaches 100K, and also when it increases by more than 5K in a day. Daily checks are fine. No screenshot needed.
These longer prompts are optional. Short ones work well too; use the full length when you need precise control over element, conditions, and channels.
Why Token Cost Varies (AI Helper)
The estimated and actual cost for each AI Helper run is in tokens. A few things explain why the cost changes from one URL to another and why some requests cost more than others.
For more on tokens (monthly quota, extra tokens, task execution costs), see How Tokens are Calculated and Spent.
"Quick reference
- Describe what to track and when to notify in one sentence.
- Mention the channel (email, Discord, Slack, etc.) and the condition (e.g. "when price below 100").
- Ask for screenshots or uploads if you want them; the AI will enable them if your plan allows.
- Token cost depends on page size and full config vs selector-only; you see an estimate before generating.
- Use up to 500 characters for detailed prompts (element location, multiple conditions, combinations).
