Discord Notification Features

Rich Embeds with Screenshots

Discord notifications use rich embeds with color coding, structured fields, and embedded screenshots for maximum visual impact.

Screenshots appear directly in the message when enabled for tasks.

Custom Bot Appearance

Customize the bot username and avatar to match your server's theme and branding preferences.

Override webhook defaults with custom names and avatars.

Clickable Links

All URLs in Discord notifications are clickable, making it easy to quickly navigate to changed content or view screenshots.

One-click access to tracked pages and visual evidence.

Instant Delivery

Discord webhooks provide near-instantaneous delivery, ensuring your team gets notified immediately when changes occur.

Typical delivery time: 1-10 seconds after change detection.

Troubleshooting

Messages Not Appearing in Discord?

  • Verify the webhook URL is correct and hasn't been deleted
  • Check if the webhook still exists in your Discord server settings
  • Ensure the bot has permission to send messages in the target channel
  • Test the configuration using the "Test Configuration" button

Webhook URL Issues

  • Webhook URLs must start with https://discord.com/api/webhooks/ or https://discordapp.com/api/webhooks/
  • Make sure you copied the entire URL without any extra characters
  • If you regenerated the webhook in Discord, update the URL in your notification channel

Best Practices

Channel Management

  • Create dedicated channels for different types of monitoring
  • Use descriptive channel names like #website-alerts or #price-changes
  • Set appropriate notification settings for each channel

Server Organization

  • Use channel categories to organize different types of alerts
  • Consider using roles to control who sees different alert channels
  • Pin important tracking information in channel descriptions
