Gyazo Upload Setup Guide

Gyazo is a fast screenshot sharing service that allows instant capture and sharing of screenshots. This guide will help you configure Gyazo for storing screenshots from your monitoring tasks.

Gyazo is perfect for quick visual notifications when content changes are detected. Screenshots are immediately available with shareable links.

Prerequisites

Before setting up Gyazo integration, ensure you have:

  • Gyazo account: Free account at gyazo.com/signup
  • Access token: From Gyazo OAuth applications

Step 1: Create Your Gyazo Account

  1. Visit gyazo.com/signup
  2. Sign up with your email address or social accounts
  3. Verify your email address if required

Step 2: Get Your Access Token

  1. Log in to your Gyazo account
  2. Go to gyazo.com/oauth/applications
  3. Click "Register new application"
  4. Fill in the application details:
    • Name: Tracker Upload Service
    • Description: Screenshot uploads from website tracking service
    • Redirect URI: You can use any valid URL
  5. Click "Create Application"
  6. Copy the "Access Token" – you will need this for configuration

Important

Keep your access token secure and never share it publicly. This token allows full access to your Gyazo account.

Step 3: Configure Gyazo in Tracker

  1. In your Tracker dashboard, go to Upload Channels
  2. Click "Add New Channel"
  3. Select "Gyazo" as the channel type
  4. Fill in the configuration:
    • Channel Name: Give it a descriptive name like "My Gyazo Account"
    • Access Token: Paste your Gyazo access token
    • Collection ID: (Optional) If you want uploads in a specific collection
    • Title Pattern: (Optional) How to name your screenshots
  5. Click "Test Connection" to verify your settings
  6. Click "Save" to create the channel

Step 4: Enable Uploads for Your Tasks

  1. Edit any tracking task where you want screenshot uploads
  2. In the "Upload Settings" section, enable "Upload to Remote Storage"
  3. Select your Gyazo channel from the upload channels list
  4. Save your task configuration

Optional configuration

Collection ID

If you want all screenshots uploaded to a specific Gyazo collection, you can specify the collection ID. You can find this in your Gyazo collection URL.

Title pattern

Customize how your screenshots are titled using these variables:

{task_name} – Name of the tracking task
{domain} – Website domain being tracked
{date} – Current date
{time} – Current time

Example: Change detected on {domain} - {date}

Troubleshooting

Connection test fails

  • Verify your access token is correct and has not expired
  • Check that your Gyazo application is properly configured
  • Ensure you have internet connectivity

Upload fails with authorization error

  • Your access token may have been revoked or expired
  • Generate a new access token from your Gyazo applications page
  • Update the token in your channel configuration

Screenshots not appearing in collection

  • Verify the collection ID is correct
  • Leave collection ID empty to upload to main gallery
  • Check that you have permissions to add to the collection
