Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is Trackr?Trackr is a website monitoring service that watches any webpage for changes and sends instant alerts via email, Telegram, Slack, Discord, SMS, or webhook. Define what to watch, set your check frequency, and we do the rest — silently and reliably. Browse our Help Centre →
-
What websites can I monitor?Any publicly accessible webpage: product listings, news articles, government portals, job boards, flight prices, competitor pages, sports fixtures, and more. If you can open it in a browser, Trackr can monitor it. See ideas and use cases →
-
How do I create my first tracking task?Sign up for a free account, go to your portal, click Add Task, paste the URL you want to monitor, then set a check frequency and a notification channel. Your first task is live in under a minute. Read the step-by-step guide →
-
Does Trackr work with JavaScript-rendered pages?Yes. Enable Browser Rendering on a task to use a real headless browser engine that executes JavaScript exactly as a visitor's browser would. This correctly handles React, Vue, Angular, and other single-page frameworks that load content dynamically.
-
What is a CSS selector and do I need one?A CSS selector lets you pinpoint a specific element on a page — for example, just the price field on a product listing rather than the entire page. It is optional: without one, Trackr monitors all visible text content. Add a selector when you want precise, noise-free change detection on a single element.
-
How frequently can Trackr check a page? The Free plan checks once per day. Light checks every 6 hours, Plus checks hourly, and Max and Ultra check as often as every 5 minutes. View the full comparison on our Pricing page →
-
Can I monitor multiple pages at once?Yes — each tracking task monitors one URL, and you can create as many tasks as your plan allows. The Free plan supports 3 tasks; Light supports 10, Plus 25, Max 50, and Ultra up to 150 tasks. See task limits on the Pricing page →
-
Which notification channels are supported?Email is available on all plans. Discord is included from the Light plan. Telegram and Slack are available from Plus. Webhooks are available on Max and Ultra. SMS is available on Ultra only. Most users connect Telegram for instant push notifications — it takes under a minute to set up.
-
How do I set up Telegram notifications? In your portal, go to Notification Channels and add a new channel of type Telegram. You will need two things: a Bot Token — created for free via @BotFather on Telegram — and the Chat ID of the chat or group where you want to receive alerts. Enter both, save the channel, and assign it to any task.
-
Can I receive SMS alerts?Yes — SMS is available on the Ultra plan via Twilio. You will need your own Twilio account: a Twilio phone number, Account SID, and Auth Token, which you enter when creating an SMS notification channel in the portal. For a simpler free alternative, Telegram delivers instant push notifications without any third-party account.
-
What plans are available? We offer Free, Light, Plus, Max, and Ultra plans. The Free plan includes 3 tasks with daily checks at no cost. Paid plans unlock faster check intervals, more tasks, additional notification channels, browser rendering, screenshot capture, and AI-powered change detection. View all plans and pricing →
-
What are tokens and how do they work?Tokens are credits that power premium per-use features: browser rendering, AI-powered change analysis, and screenshot capture. Each task run using these features deducts a small number of tokens. All plans include a monthly token allowance, and you can top up your balance at any time from your portal.
-
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?Yes, at any time from the Subscription page in your portal. Upgrades take effect immediately with no interruption to monitoring. Downgrades apply at the end of your current billing period, so your existing features remain active until then.
-
Can I pay in Indian Rupees (INR)?Yes — all plans are priced in INR. Light from ₹499/month, Plus from ₹999/month.
-
Do you support UPI payments?INR card payments are supported via Stripe. UPI AutoPay for recurring billing is on our roadmap.
-
Do I need a credit card to start? No — the free plan requires no payment details. You only provide payment when upgrading to a paid plan.
-
What is the refund policy for annual plans?Annual plans are refundable within 14 days of purchase. See our Refund Policy for full details.
-
Where is my data stored?Your account data, task results, and change history are stored on dedicated servers with high availability and regular backups. Full details are in our Security Overview and Privacy Policy.
-
Can I export or delete my data?Yes. Task change history can be exported as CSV or JSON from the task history view in your portal. To request full account deletion or a copy of your personal data, contact us at support — we honour all GDPR and DPDP Act data subject rights within the legally required timeframes.
-
Are you DPDP Act 2023 compliant?Yes. We have a designated Grievance Officer and comply with DPDP data rights requirements. See our Privacy Policy for details.
-
Do you store screenshots of tracked pages?Screenshot capture is an optional feature on paid plans. When enabled for a task, a screenshot is taken at each check interval and stored, viewable in your task change history. You can disable screenshots per task at any time.
-
Can I send change alerts to my own system?Yes — Max and Ultra plans support outbound Webhooks. When a change is detected, Trackr sends an HTTP POST to your endpoint with the change details, letting you integrate alerts into your own tools, scripts, or automation pipelines.
