Email notifications deliver content change alerts straight to your inbox with detailed summaries, screenshots, and task links. This guide walks you through setting up email as a notification channel.

Good news

Email notifications are the easiest to set up and require no external accounts or configurations.

Step 1: Navigate to Notification Channels

  1. Go to your Notification Channels
  2. Click "Add New Channel"
  3. Select "Email" from the channel types

Step 2: Configure Your Email Channel

The email configuration is automatically filled with your account email address:

  • Recipient Email: Automatically set to your account email
  • Sender Name: Optional – customize how the sender appears
  • Email Template: Choose between Default, Minimal, or Detailed styles

Step 3: Test and Save

  1. Click "Test Configuration" to receive a test email
  2. Check your inbox (and spam folder) for the test message
  3. If you received the test email, click "Save"

Step 4: Use in Your Tracking Tasks

Select this email channel when creating or editing tracking tasks. You will receive detailed email notifications whenever content changes are detected.

Currently, email notifications are sent to your account email address for security reasons. To change the recipient:

  • Update your email address in your account settings
  • Or create additional notification channels like Slack, Discord, or SMS
  • Consider using webhook notifications for custom email handling
